AMUSI…WHAT NOW?

Dave, Kiri & Jayde started Amusical back in 2017, before anyone else thought it was a good idea to combine musical theatre and comedy together. You could call them pioneers, but they remain deeply humble about it all. It was after a car journey between Dave & Kiri in 2015 that got out of hand, Kiri and Dave decided to combine their two passions and bring on board the UK’s answer to Bette Midler, Jayde Adams and in 2017 they all performed their first show together in East London’s Backyard Comedy Club.

Dave Cribb is our MD and an extremely talented composer, musical director, podcaster and radio producer. His credits include; BBC Radio One, BBC Wales, XFM, BBC Radio 4, BBC Three, Talk Radio, Comedy Central and so much more.

TV’s Kiri Pritchard McClean is a very in demand multi award winning comedian, broadcaster, director, writer, podcaster and radio presenter.

and TV’s Jayde Adams is a multi award winning stand up comedian, actor, opera singer, radio & TV presenter, podcaster, beat boxer, dancer, rapper, graphic designer and fish monger.

For the past couple of years, D, K & J have been sprinkling literal magic – and have taken comedy’s most professional and confident comedians, actors & presenters and backed up by our incredibly talented LIVE house band, The Quavers – they sing their favourite musical theatre number BUT dear reader – one fact you should know about the performers – IS, they are not allowed to be known for their singing ability. Because who wants to see people doing what they do best? Not us. We want to see them absolutely bricking it. Think like Britain’s Got Talent, but musical theatre and because everyone is in on the joke, there’s no terrible ones you have to feel sorry for!

Amusical is most regularly at East London’s Backyard Comedy Club but we do venture out to places like; Machynlleth Comedy Festival, Latitude Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Comedy Central Festival, Kilkenny CatLaughs Festival, Hackney Empire, Salford University, Wales Millennium Centre and more!

Not content with just the LIVE show, we also have a TV series with Comedy Central in the works, a podcast is about to launch and we also put on regular club nights with guest singers.

This is the comedy show for people who don’t like musical theatre…

Take all your favourite musicals add all your favourite comedians, throw in a band and you’ve got yourselves the best night of your life!
